Cookies from embedded content

Some demos include videos and maps from YouTube, Vimeo and Google Maps. These are held behind a placeholder until you choose to load them, so no request reaches the provider and no cookies are set until you accept.

Once you load one, that provider can set the cookies listed above and can see your IP address, under its own privacy policy rather than ours:

Each provider is accepted separately, so loading a video does not also load maps.

Managing cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its settings, usually under privacy or site data. Blocking all cookies will stop this site from remembering your choice, so you will see the banner on every page.

Where a provider offers a more private option, we use it. YouTube videos load from youtube-nocookie.com, and Vimeo embeds are asked not to track.

Changes to this page

We may update this policy at any time, for example if we add or remove a service that sets cookies. If we add cookies that need your consent, you’ll be asked again before they’re used. Otherwise your choices are stored for 182 days, after which we’ll ask again.
